Technical Vision Talk “Can you trust your pacemaker?”

Small embedded devices increasingly find their way into the healthcare system. Devices enable monitoring of patients’ health (like glucose monitors, fitness trackers, etc) and devices that maintain patients’ health (like pacemakers, insulin pumps, advanced prosthetics, etc) are examples where the (in)security of devices has a direct impact on patient safety. In this talk I will review the most relevant attack vectors for such devices, and I will illustrate how data science is used in both constructive and destructive ways in this context.
