Compared to last year, the number of participants grew by more than 200%! But this is not the only amazing number from the 2nd WiDS Villach conference.
During the preparation we were already excited when we hit the 100 participants mark, but when we finally reached 220+ participants, we were blown away.
When we started WiDS Villach in 2020, one of our goals was to build a regional network of data science enthusiast. Looking deeper into the numbers of 2021 shows that more than 50% of the participants are located in Carinthia. Indicating, that already in the 2nd year we achieved to attract the regional data science enthusiasts.
But attracting is just one part, recapping the conference day shows that the community is vibrant and eager to engage into discussions. This is what we wanted to start. Thanks to all of you for your passion!
