Game Studies Master Student, University of Klagenfurt
Marie Biedermann BA is currently studying the Game Studies and Engineering Master’s program at the University of Klagenfurt. She partakes regularly in Game Jams events as a developer and is part of the Game Jam organizer team of the university of Klagenfurt. She was part of developing several small video games such as “Campus Adventure” for the FH Kärnten and “Monster Match”, which made 4th place at the 8th Klagenfurt Game Jam and has been played over 4.000 times on itch.io. In addition to that, her paper “Science, War and Responsibility: The Representation of Moral Boundaries of Technological Invention during War in Gato Roboto” was published on the Play/Write student journal in summer 2022.
She obtained her Bachelors Degree in the field of English and American Studies at the Karl-Franzens Universität Graz, where she wrote her thesis about the Male Gaze in big-budget Hollywood productions and videogames.
