Anita is Professor for Mathematics and Statistics at the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences in Villach, Austria. She develops mathematical solutions for biomedical problems. Her recent research focuses on digital literacies of college students.
Anita has a M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Biology, a M.Sc. in Technical Mathematics and a habilitation in Human Genetics from the University of Innsbruck.
Technical Vision Talk: “Applications of data science in medicine and health care”
Medicine and healthcare are two of the most important aspects of our human lives. There are several fields in healthcare such as medical imaging, drug discovery, genetics and predictive diagnosis that are enhanced by data science. This talk will focus on the genetic basis of health and disease and on the influence of the weather on human wellbeing.
